This wall platter is one from a sculptural series that I call, "Mountain Wall Platters." Mountains are gigantic sculptures made by nature that affect us powerfully. Mountains also represent ambition. The idea of reaching the summit of a mountain can motivate us to pursue and achieve great goals. I created these abstract mountain platters with those ideas in mind. They were largely inspired by my time driving in the flat plains in front of the Teton Mountains, with a gold or silver winding road piercing into the vast horizon. This platter comes ready to hang, with hanging device for drywall. This platter is mostly silver, but has flakes of gold that naturally fell on the surface too, as well as natural imperfections that are part of the art.
