This Stoneware baker would make a great addition to any kitchen. It is both a sculptuyre and a 100% functional oven baker. This is designed for oven baking and works great in and out of the dishwasher and large microwaves. Freezer safe. Durable, chip resistant, and meant to be used and enjoyed.
Handles are inspired by Mars' Moons Phobos and Deimos. The top handle is inspired by a metallic black asteroid. Interior is a smooth, food-safe black glaze.
All of our pottery is made from Stoneware clay, and is 100% food and dishwasher safe.
The lid of this baker fits well, but it may rock back-and-forth if not placed in the same position that it was positioned in during the kiln firing. So, you may need to rotate your baker lid to get it to fit perfectly without rocking. Regardless, your pottery is 100% functional and safe to use even if the lid rocks slightly. This is a natural imperfection, but it does not hurt the function, and this is common in my style of pottery.
This particular stoneware pottery has slight “crazing” inside, which is a natural crackle in the glaze finish. This is normal and natural in this style of pottery. Your pottery is 100% non-toxic, food safe, dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. With normal use, slight crazing does not hurt the function.
