100% non-toxic, dishwasher safe, made to be used and enjoyed. This pottery has a quote that inspires my art and life. It was hand painted onto the surface by me, Joel Cherrico. The quote reads:
"Day by day and night by night we were together—all else has long been forgotten by me..."

This quote was inspired by Walt Whitman (1819 - 1892) from one of his poems in his book, "Leaves of Grass" published in 1855. This widely popular misquote was changed and adapted endlessly by those who were inspired to repeat it in their own words. It often reads: "We were together. I forget the rest." I love how quotes change in culture, when we adapt them and make them useful to us in our own lives. That is why I included both the original, and the adaptation, on my art.
