This is imperfect due to the smugged and smugged looking writing on the outside of the bowl. This was a result of the reaction of iron & wax resist when melting in the kiln firing. It does not impact the function of this piece.

This quote was inspired by John Keats (1795 - 1821). Keats was known for publishing some of the most beautiful words ever written in the english language. This line was from his poem Endymion, based on the ancient Greek myth of the same name. He wrote this line while living and working on the Isle of Wight, England, 1817.
