This solid clay "Home Sculpture" was made by Joel Cherrico using Stoneware clay. Impressions from Joel's hands and fingers create a rustic surface, highlighted by dry, iron stain and glossy, smooth glaze. Natural imperfections include, but are not limited to, subtle cracks and crazing, folds in the clay and rough textures. They are all intentional, natural parts of this art.
This sculpture also has 24 karat gold leaf is non-functional, decorative only. The gold surface will never change, unless you touch it. It is extremely fragile and can scratch if you touch it, so please do not touch it. But, if you do accidentally scratch it, it will still match the rustic qualities of your piece, since the gold was also applied in a rustic fashion. The gold should remain nearly identical forever. If you need to remove dust, brush gently with a dry microfiber cloth only.
