Preview Installation
The first few photos below were from a preview installation of a project from my Spring 2009 semester. These pictures are process shots, installed only so we could critique the artwork. The project transformed into “Mindscape” a much larger body of work (roughly 10 times larger than the installation pictured below) that I made over the summer of 2009, as the first part of my Senior Thesis at the College of Saint Benedict/St. John’s University.
This album includes additional process photos over the summer of 2009. Mindscape was driven by the process. I felt like an Abstract Expressionist painter that just let the process flow by working quickly and without hesitation. I let the project evolve everyday as I constantly explored subtle changes that would make the installation more interesting.
